Werner was born in 1971 in apartheid South Africa, Werner is a software developer, teacher and social entrepreneur. Having studied anthropology and archaeology at the University of Cape Town, he moved to London in 2000 and became co-founder and CTO of MeWe Art & Education, a youth organisation fostering personal and career development among 14-25 year old disadvantaged young people. After qualifying as a teacher at Greenwich University and obtaining his LPI Certification, Werner established in 2006 the social enterprise MeWe OpenSource which harnesses training for income generation and Development. He is currently living in South Africa and loves PHP, Perl, Python, S60 and that other OS, GNU/Linux.
