From ICT4D.at

Florian Sturm, born in 1984, working as ICT4D researcher and web design freelancer. Has a Master in Business Informatics from the University of Vienna and works at the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology as tutor. He is an active member of the students' organisation IAESTE and has experience with Java EE programming, web design (AJAX, CSS, XML, web services) and various CMSs (Joomla!, Wordpress, Drupal).

For ICT4D.at he acts as the chairman, representing the organization on international meetings and conferences. Furthermore he is the main contributor to the blog, providing his scientific expertise in the area of ICT4D. To keep the public updated about internal developments of ICT4D.at, he regularly gives updates of planned and attended events and own projects.

In the commercial sector he works as tutor for the University of Vienna and Vienna University of Technology and as a freelancer for software development projects. Currently he is member of Martin Konzetts Hetras-team.

In the scientific area he is active in the first part as attendee of conferences and meetings. Furthermore he writes papers and contributions to ICT4D research based on the experience gathered during the course of writing his master thesis and the work for ICT4D.at.
